Sorry about the Weather

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say sorry about all the weird weather lately.  I just found out on Tuesday that Elliot made this at school:

It is a weather machine.  It makes the weather.  Rest assured I have disabled it and had a long talk with Elliot about the dangers of messing with the weather.  Everything should get back to normal in a couple of months.  Again, so sorry.

Why would I put batteries in that?

Claire and Oliver are having a great time and playing together on this:

But why, why, why, did I put batteries in this:

Yes, it is a siren.  And it sounds just like a police siren.  Not a quiet kids one.  No, no.  It sounds just like the real thing.  Why would I do this?  I have no idea.  What I do know is they better not get hurt because my headphones are up too loud to hear and screaming.

Gross!

This is what Oliver was doing this morning while I am up in bed suffering with out of control allergies.

In case you are wondering that is a bag with gumballs.  That's not the gross part.  The other thing is a cup with about 20 half chewed pieces of gum.  That's right.  He chews a piece for about two minutes, then spits it in the cup.

Oh, keep the gum where he can't get it, you say.  Okay.  Gee why didn't I think of that?

Yes that is the gumball machine on the highest cabinet in the kitchen!

The Smart One

Everyone is always telling us how smart Claire is.  So her dance teacher (through the preschool) called to let me know what the classes would cost.  She said how well Claire did and how smart she was.  We were all sitting at dinner and I was telling Jade what the teacher said about how smart Claire was and Claire chose this exact moment to say "I wet my pants two time today."

So Smart.

The Time Change

We all hate the time change but Michelle, last night, a week after we changed time, had a meltdown about it.  She was crying so hard saying she didn't want to go to bed at seven because it was really six.  She was really, really upset.  She was ok after we told her she could read in her room until eight.  This morning, she wasn't upset anymore but she keep talking about how it's really 7:30 not 8:30.  I'm wishing I had never told her about the time change.  What will she do in the fall?

Also, Oli likes to say "I can do it my byself."  And is case you misread It's My Byself not by myself:)
